Appletini Ice Sculpture:
The top was filled with appletinis and it would drain through the center into the glasses :)

I loved this:

The Columbia Club is very proud of their tradition of the groom popping the champagne cork, and Kevin shook and shook it first, it sprayed ALL OVER!   The picture is a tad shaky, but my lens was getting wet!

Stephanie was a colts cheerleader and near the end of the night, all the cheerleaders came out to dance

January 22, 2010 - 10:22 pm Kurtis - HOLLY COW on those getting ready photos. Loving the one with the mirror! Very nice Sir!!!

July 7, 2010 - 10:09 am wibia - This is probably some of the best work I have seen from a wedding photographer in Indy. Amazing shots, front to back. Very warm editing and I think that it totally works here.

cara + alex’s dominican wedding, pt 2. destination wedding photographers

The next several weddings I’m posting are very image heavy!   If you’re looking at this on Facebook you may have to click through to see the pictures.

Cara and Alex were married in the Dominican Republic and I got to shoot their wedding!  The day before the wedding, Cara and Alex dressed up, and we shot some pictures of the two of them.   We started at the resort where Alex got to see Cara in her dress for the first time,  then we drove into Santo Domingo and went to the Cathedral of Santa Maria where we shot the pictures in front of the church with the pigeons posted here.  We also went to the botanical gardens, it was really cool!  I loved the bamboo!

Cara’s dad walked her “down the aisle” towards Alex.  I think this was the first time I’ve seen the first meeting done this way,  I liked it!

Alex’s first reaction :)

That’s Cara’s parents in the background watching..  They didn’t know they were in the picture :)

Cara bought Alex’s wedding ring and he hadn’t seen it yet,  he was bouncing up and down anxious to see it!

This was a perfect picture for the first image in their slideshow!

I’ll get the rest of their pictures posted soon!

Noblesville Engagement Session

Digging up more images to post :)

They were married this summer and just a few days ago I posted their images on the blog,  so I realize this is late…

Indianapolis Engagement Photos

How long has it been since I’ve posted an engagement session???  I’ve shot lots of fun sessions this year, I’ll try to get a few of them posted!

Meet Lauren and Tom:

Tom is a pro cyclist and races at the Velodrome so of course we had to go there for their engagement session!  After a few shots here, we ran across the street to IMA for a few more.   Check out some of my favorites:

Mavris wedding photography

Mavris Arts and Event Center is one of my favorite venues here in Indy, and I got to shoot Greg and Debi’s Indianapolis wedding there!

Ceremony:  Mavris

Reception:  Mavris

Shoes:  Christian Louboutin

Hair:  Studio 2000

Makeup: Nordstrom

Gown: Posie Patch

Florist: Posh Petals

Cake:  Heavenly Sweets

Debi and Greg were married right before Christmas, they had a tree set up as you came into the second floor for the reception all around were the favors,  the triangle boxes here were filled with snow and a wine bottle topper.

The Louboutin’s:

A train came along right as we were starting pictures of the two of them..

Greg wanted a picture with his brothers reminisce of that famous shot with the Kennedy brothers:

I know I already posted this shot..

This image with the entire bridal party was maybe 3 minutes after the groomsmen above…  not only that,  I think these were shot at 5 pm!!  Daylight in December…

January 19, 2010 - 11:25 pm Debi Clark - We had such a great day and it was captured beautifully with your photos. Thanks again, Matt! Debi & Greg

Slog

I just posted pictures from Caitlin and John’s Chicago Wedding here, but thought this deserved it’s own post:)

The morning of the wedding they did what they called a slog… technically a slow jog, on the way to breakfast.   Everyone was supposed to wear 80′s clothes, and they danced along to an ipod.   It really was a blast!

December 24, 2009 - 3:21 am Jet Kaiser - Looks like a fun and crazy day

Chicago Wedding Photography

Several months ago I shot a very fun wedding in Chicago and I never finished posting it so I thought I’d throw some of my favorites online.

Caitlin and John were married in Chicago, they had a very small intimate wedding, only inviting their closest friends and immediate family.  I loved it!  The ceremony was held a Maxim’s, and the reception on Lake Michigan on Odyssey II.

John and Caitlin wrote their own vows… well, really they did their own ceremony for the most part.  John’s dad technically officiated, but it was very personal with just Caitlin and John on stage for the majority of the ceremony.

They did a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle, and the stand had a mirror,  this image show’s John’s mom watching as he’s reading the vows.

Check out this emblem… it’s obviously not in focus… can you tell what kind of car this is :)

Check out the view during dinner!

Fresh Powder

Saturday I shot a wedding in Wabash Indiana,  it snowed the whole day :)  Not much accumulation, but it’s not very often you can get a bride out in the freezing weather!

Caribbean Wedding Photography

Two weeks ago Cara and Alex were married in the Dominican Republic :)  The weather… oh man, 90′s and humid, and then getting back off the plane here in Indy, cold and cloudy – yuck.

The day before the ceremony we drove to Santo Domingo for pictures, and I thought these were really cool and wanted to post them.  This is in front of the first Cathedral built in the Western Hemisphere!  They didn’t get married here, and they wouldn’t let us in with a camera (and Cara would have had to cover her shoulders?!?) but the pigeons in the square were just too cool!
